The Way to Greater Success
Kingdom Technology helps clients to answer two questions:
- “How can we achieve greater success?”
- “What technology investments are the most likely to bring us success?”
After successful corporate careers, we have been advising companies since 1985.
London Underground said in August 2010 about a recent study for them on escalators: (To see the whole reference, click here) |
The study involved a global comparison of the specification, maintenance, refurbishment and life extension methods for a certain class of assets. It also included comparisons of productivity, asset condition monitoring methods and quality and availability outcomes.
Andrew McCusker, Operations Director of Hong Kong MTR, said in September 2010: "Robin Hirsch and his associates have provided invaluable support to MTR Corporation over the years, leading to significant cost savings, quality improvements and our highly successful entry into the market for managing railway franchises in Europe. He is well regarded in MTR Corporation as a man of integrity, wide-ranging professional skills and a good person to work with." (To see the whole reference, click here) |
But success does not always mean greater profitability, lower cost or higher revenues. For every client, we seek to understand what success means for them. One wanted to introduce best practices across Europe in managing and maintaining roads. Another needed to know if their signalling system could achieve as little as 2 minutes between trains. A third wanted to know how to organise and develop their revenue collection system to meet their needs.

Satisfied Clients
Most of our clients are in the railway business or other asset-intensive sectors. In addition to MTR, for whom we have worked since 1994, our direct clients in 2006-10 include Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCR) (from 1998 until their merger with MTR), Atkins, Siemens, and the biggest department store chain in Ghana. We have also worked for electricity companies, mines and process manufacturing companies. Earlier direct railway clients, for whom we now work mainly through the RTSC 1 at Imperial College, include the metros of Berlin, Paris, London and many other cities, as well as national railways such as DB, RENFE, Trenitalia and Irish Rail. In 2010, we have also been working on due diligence, with the Royal Bank of Scotland, the main financier of a major transport project, among our clients.
